About Bret
Hi, I’m Bret Saalwaechter – a former humanitarian aid worker turned wildlife photographer. After spending two decades working in some of the world’s most remote and challenging regions—from Asia to the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America—I’ve turned my focus to capturing the beauty of the natural world through the lens of my camera.
Throughout my years in humanitarian work, I’ve seen the resilience of both people and animals. These experiences have deepened my respect for the planet and its inhabitants, inspiring me to become a passionate advocate for conservation. Now, as a full-time wildlife photographer, I’m dedicating my life to sharing the stories of wildlife and nature that so often go unnoticed.
Photography allows me to explore the world in a way that connects people to the natural wonders around us, while also raising awareness for the importance of protecting these precious ecosystems. Whether you’re interested in joining me on one of my wildlife workshops or purchasing a piece of art that brings the beauty of nature into your home, I’m thrilled to have you along for the journey.
Thank you for visiting.
